A FEW FRIENDS AND A SIMPLE IDEA
Hippy Trout was started by a group of friends who wanted the kind of cannabis they'd want to smoke themselves: clean, natural flower, grown by the sun. No shortcuts, no toxic pesticides, just good plants and good soil.
The team brings experience from other businesses, including running cannabis labs in Colorado and Maine. That background shows up in how we grow, test and handle every harvest.

THE HUNT
FROM HUMBOLDT TO AMSTERDAM TO NEW MEXICO
We pride ourselves on the nostalgic strains of the '90s. Every Hippy Trout cultivar starts with a search for the real thing.
01 Track the lineage. We seek out the most notorious genetics, from Humboldt County to Amsterdam.
02 Pop every seed. Each seed gets its shot. We grow them out side by side.
03 Find the phenotype. We select for terpene and cannabinoid profile: the classic nose of Northern Lights and Sour Diesel.
04 Grow like family. We take the time with each plant to make sure it's happy and healthy, under the New Mexico sun.
